Arafat: Aaj maiyne kamil kar diya tumhare liye tumhare Din ko

Bismillah Wa Alhamdulillah
Wassalatu wassalamu ala Rasul Allah Wa ala alihi.

Ise rivayat kiya gaya hay Umar Farooq Ibn al-Khattab (radhi allahu anhu) se ki ek Yahoodi Insan ne unhe kaha: “Ay Ameer al Mumineen! Quran me ek Aayat hay, gar woh ham Yahoodio par nazil hui hoti to ham us din ko yawm e Eid manate.” Un hone pucha: “Kon si Aayat?” Us ne kaha:

Surah Al-Mā’idah, 3
الْيَوْمَ أَكْمَلْتُ لَكُمْ دِينَكُمْ وَأَتْمَمْتُ عَلَيْكُمْ نِعْمَتِي وَرَضِيتُ لَكُمُ الْإِسْلَامَ دِينًاۚ

…. Aaj maiyne kamil kar diya tumhare liye tumhare Din ko aur tamam kar di tum par apni neamat aur pasand farma liya tumhare liye Din e Islam…..

Umar Farooq Ibn al-Khattab (radhi allahu anhu) ne Farmaya: “Hame malum hay ki koun se din aur kis jagah yeh Aayat nazil hui thi Allah ke Rasool Sallallahu Alayhi wa sallam par. Yeh us waqt hua jab woh Arafat me kahade the Juma ke din.”

English:
It is reported from Umar Ibn al-Khattab (radhi allahu anhu) that a Jewish man said to him: “O Ameer al-Mumineen (O head of the Muslims)! There is a verse in the Qur’aan, which if was revealed on us, the Jews, we would have taken that day as an Eid (festival).” Umar asked: “Which verse?” He said:

Surah Al-Mā’idah, 3
الْيَوْمَ أَكْمَلْتُ لَكُمْ دِينَكُمْ وَأَتْمَمْتُ عَلَيْكُمْ نِعْمَتِي وَرَضِيتُ لَكُمُ الْإِسْلَامَ دِينًاۚ

…. This day have I perfected your religion for you, completed My favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion…..

Umar Farooq (radhi allahu anhu) said: “We know on which day and in which place was this verse revealed to Allah’s Messenger (sallahu alaihe wa-sallam). It was when he was standing in Arafat on a Friday.”
