Bismillahir rahmanir rahim
Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar RadiAllahu Anhum ka bayaan he ke Me Ummul Muamineen hazrate Hafsha RadiAllahu Anha ke paas gaya to unke baalo se pani tapak raha tha.
Maine kaha ‘tum dekhti ho ke logo ne ye kya kiya he? Muje to Khilafat se koi cheez nahi mili’
hazrate Hafsha RadiAllahu Anha farmane lagi, ‘Aye mere bhai Abdullah tum jao logo se mulaqaat karo woh tumhara intezaar kar rahe he, kahi aisa na ho ke tum na jao aur unme ikhtelaaf paida ho jaye.’ Pas Ummul Muamineen Hafsha RadiAllahu Anha ke keh ne par woh chale gaye,
Waha Amir muaawiyah RadiAllahu Anhu ne khutba padha aur kaha, “Agar koi Khilafat ke muaamle me kuchh kehna chahta he to apna sar uthaye, Hum us (Abdullah ibn Umar RadiAllahu Anhum) se aur uske Baap se bhi jyaada khilafat ke mustahiq he (na-auzu billah)”
Habib bin muslima ne, hazarat Ibne Umar RadiAllahu Anhum se kaha, ‘Aap RadiAllahu Anha ne Amir muaawiyah RadiAllahu Anhu ko jawaab kyu nahi diya?
Ibne Umar RadiAllahu Anhum ne farmaya ke, “Mene yeh Iraada kiya ke Muaawiyah RadiAllahu Anhu ko jawaab me kahu ke is Muaamle (Khilafat) me tumse aur tumare baap se jyaada mustahiq woh (Mola Ali RadiAllahu Anhu) he jo Islaam ki khatir tum dono (ke Imaan lane se pehale tum) se jung kar chuka he,”
Magar me khoon rezi ke fitna se khamosh hokar jannat ke sawaab par Kina-at kar gaya. Habib ka bayaan he ke Hazarat Abdullah bin umar RadiAllahu Anhum ne khamosh rehkar apni Izzat ko fasaad se bacha liya…
Narrated `Ikrima bin Khalid: Ibn `Umar said, “I went to Hafsa while water was dribbling from her twined braids. I said, ‘The condition of the people is as you see, and no authority has been given to me.’ Hafsa said, (to me), ‘Go to them, and as they (i.e. the people) are waiting for you, and I am afraid your absence from them will produce division amongst them.’ ” So Hafsa did not leave Ibn `Umar till we went to them. When the people differed.
Muawiya addressed the people saying, “‘If anybody wants to say anything in this matter of the Caliphate, he should show up and not conceal himself, for we are more rightful to be a Caliph than he (Ibn Umar) and his father.”
On that, Habib bin Masalama said (to Ibn `Umar), “Why don’t you reply to him (i.e. Muawiya)?”
`Abdullah bin `Umar said, “I untied my garment that was going round my back and legs while I was sitting and was about to say, ‘He (Ali) who fought against you and against your father for the sake of Islam, is more rightful to be a Caliph,’
But I was afraid that my statement might produce differences amongst the people and cause bloodshed, and my statement might be interpreted not as I intended. (So I kept quiet) remembering what Allah has prepared in the Gardens of Paradise (for those who are patient and prefer the Hereafter to this worldly life).” Habib said, “You did what kept you safe and secure (i.e. you were wise in doing so).
